It's the "new" Cartwright's restaurant that I'm reviewing.... It's going to take a while to overcome prior reviews. My spouse and I had a very nice dinner. The service was attentive and pleasant. This casual restaurant has lots of charm and we were fortunate to sit near the fireplace. I ordered off the specials menu and started with the clams and they were very nice. They had a light tomato/garlic broth with cherry tomatoes and plenty of good sized clams. My spouse had the ribs and was quite content with the tenderness and sauce. A large portion and plenty of napkins. I had the special entree of tuna salad. The seared tuna was just right atop an arugula salad with a light vinaigrette on the side. I had never had smoked watermelon before but I was very impressed. Sweet and lightly smoked it went great with the tuna. Okay, some tiny nitpick...more cress in the salad and fewer broken clams but I'm looking hard to find anything worth mentioning. We had avoided this restaurant under the previous ownership as the quality was in decline but I'm happy to say that this version of Taprock is one we can get behind.

Sooo good and so fast! We both were really impressed. The steaks taste amazing so much better now that Cartwrights is a part of it. Definitely recommend

I can't say enough about the food. Absolutely delicious! I had the Tri Tip sandwich. So good. The Cole Slaw is better than mine. Service was excellent!

Food is great! Service was good! Cartwright's quality! My whole family enjoyed the meals.

100% improvement since Cartwrights took over. My wife and I each had Prime rib dip sandwiches for lunch, and they were outstanding. We have been back for lunch twice since then. Can't wait to try the dinners.

Food was delicious, my husband had the Halibut & Chips w/House Salad & I had the Cajun Shrimp & Chicken Pasta with House Salad. Everything was fresh and yummy ! Thomas our server was Awesome, very attentive & super friendly - Thank You for a great experience...we will be back !

Came to Tap Rock on New Year's Day. Had a wonderful breakfast with great service from a waitress named Mary. She was very attentive, servings were large and we sat right next to the window. Since it was my birthday, she offered me a birthday sundae. Overall a great experience and we will definitely return!

Went last night to check out Taprock under new Cartwright's ownership, and yes we were pleased with everything about our experience! At 5:3O the lot was almost completely full, but we were given a beeper and were seated within 15 minutes in the bar - which we requested. Our waitperson was Lauren who is friendly and efficient and we were seated by manager Matt. He suggested his favorites and also checked back a few times. There were three of us, we ordered a half rack of ribs and two Philly cheese steak sandwiches. Ribs were great and sandwiches were loaded with meat, onions, peppers and cheese and were reportedly delicious. We started with an appetizer of potato wedges and ended with flourless chocolate torte. Regrettably I was so thrilled with eating I didn't take any photos. Next time I will!! Which will hopefully be soon.

We took a ride up to Grants Pass to visit Taprock which we hadn't been to in a while. We took Dad for Fathers Day. It was a nice day out and we had the dog so we sat on the outside patio. Nice view of the water and bridge. There are beautiful plants and animal statues all around. We were seated right away and given menus. We ordered some cocktails and lunch. We split the Patty Melt and waffle fries. The Patty Melt was very greasy which made the bread fall apart and hard to eat. The fries were cooked perfectly.
